The World Health Organization (WHO) has sent another 35 tons of emergency medical supplies to Myanmar to help people affected by the recent earthquake. The shipment includes Interagency Emergency Health Kits (IEHK) and Trauma & Emergency Surgery Kits, which are essential for treating injured people and providing urgent medical care.

Since the disaster struck, WHO has delivered nearly 100 tons of medical supplies to Myanmar. These supplies include essential medicines, wound care materials, surgical equipment, and mobile health tents. The goal is to support hospitals and emergency teams in treating those in need.

The new shipment is being prepared for distribution to the most affected areas. WHO and its partners are working to ensure that hospitals, clinics, and mobile health teams receive the necessary resources quickly. This will help medical staff continue life-saving work in communities hit hardest by the earthquake.

The earthquake in Myanmar has caused widespread damage and left many people in urgent need of medical care. WHO has been actively supporting the country’s health system by providing critical supplies and assistance. The organization continues to work closely with local and international partners to respond to the crisis and protect public health.
