Yesterday around 1:30 PM, more than 100 soldiers from the Arakan Army entered U Shin Kya village, located in Ward (1) of Northern Maungdaw Township. They attacked the Rohingya community and burned down four houses, including the homes of HF Shomshu Alom and Nurul Amin.
The soldiers also went from house to house, searching every Rohingya home in the village. They accused the villagers of being members of ARSA, causing fear and panic among the people. Many families were forced out of their homes during the searches.
The situation in U Shin Kya village remains tense and dangerous. The Rohingya community is now facing more hardship, as some families have lost their homes and others are living in fear of further attacks.
