It has been reported that the Myanmar military forces have reportedly launched a large-scale offensive in villages along the eastern bank of the Sittaung River in Yedashe Township, forcing residents to flee as homes are set on fire and military operations intensify across the area.

According to local sources, troops entered Pitaung Kone Village on June 19 and allegedly burned nearly the entire village before advancing to Kyun Kone Village, where additional civilian homes were reportedly destroyed by fire. Residents say the attacks have caused widespread displacement and fear among local communities.

The operation is reportedly being carried out by a combined force from Infantry Battalion No. 19, Basic Military Training School No. 5, and Yatar-11 Battalion. Local resistance sources claim that heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes have continued throughout the area, resulting in civilian casualties and increasing concerns over the safety of those trapped in conflict zones.The Myanmar Military operations in Yedashe have intensified since early June, leading to repeated clashes between junta forces and resistance groups.

During recent fighting near Swa Ma Gyi (Swa Ywar Ma) Village, resistance forces reported that more than 20 military personnel, including a battalion commander, were killed, while a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized.
