Rohingya man injured in shooting by Myanmar Military in Pauktaw Township

A Rohingya man from Pauktaw Township, Arakan State, Myanmar, was injured in a shooting by the Myanmar Military Junta on February 25, 2025.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Shobir Ahmed from Anuak Ye Rohingya village in Pauktaw Township.

According to reports, the military targeted him while he was transporting materials around Sittwe at approximately 9:00 PM on February 25.

Shobir Ahmed sustained a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. He is in urgent need of medical treatment and has been receiving care at a terrorist Arakan Army AA hospital.

However, sources indicate that the medical assistance provided has been insufficient by the terrorist Arakan Army AA and they are discriminately providing insufficient treatments to Rohingya community.
