Ongoing Persecution of Rohingya by the Arakan Army and the United League of Arakan in Arakan

In the Arakan (Rakhine) region, a terrorist organization known as the United League of Arakan (ULA) and the Arakan Army (AA) have been escalating their violent campaign against the Rohingya still living in the region.

These atrocities have reached horrific levels. The Arakan Army and the United League of Arakan are systematically perpetrating ethnic cleansing, including the abduction of minors and sexual violence against them. Young boys and girls are being forcibly taken from their families and used as tools by these groups. They are armed, exploited like livestock, and forced into domestic labor, where they face continuous abuse.

These innocent civilians are being used not only as laborers but also as instruments of violence, with their dignity stripped away. Meanwhile, the Rohingya abducted from their homes are coerced into performing dangerous tasks, medical duties, and manual labor, all of which expose them to extreme risk.

In addition, the Arakan Army (AA) and the United League of Arakan (ULA) are using these Muslim Rohingya as human shields, positioning them on the front lines of battles. This is a calculated strategy to sway public perception and portray the Rohingya as the aggressors.

The world must pay close attention to this grave abuse. What is happening in Arakan (Rakhine) State is a severe violation of human rights—it is an appalling degradation of human dignity. If this situation forces Rohingya refugees to be sent to Myanmar from Malaysia or Bangladesh, it would only supporting the crisis. Forcibly returning them under these conditions is not the right solution. This is an issue of grave global significance, and it demands urgent attention and action against both the Arakan Army and the United League of Arakan.
