One Rohingya Refugee Injured and Three Missing After AA Terror!st Opens Fire on Fishing Boat in the Naf River

On the morning of June 6, a fishing boat operating in the Naf River near the Whykong area along the Bangladesh–Myanmar border was reportedly fired upon by an Arakan Army Terror!st (AA) coastal security unit. As a result, a Rohingya refugee identified as Arnu, a resident of Refugee Camp No. 13 in Ukhia, sustained serious injuries, while three others remain missing, according to reports.

According to local sources, the incident occurred while the boat was engaged in fishing activities in the Naf River. Arnu was struck by gunfire and suffered severe injuries to his arm and leg. Local residents rescued him and transported him to a hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

The three other Rohingya fishermen who were traveling with him on the boat remain missing as of now, and no information regarding their whereabouts has yet been obtained.

Authorities and local community members are reportedly continuing their efforts to gather information and search for the missing individuals.
